Vilacolum is a town in Alt Ampurdà belonging to the municipality of Torroella de Fluvià. Currently, an urbanization attached to the old town has been built, the “Resort de Luxe” residential complex.
Its known history is scarce, like the rest of the towns in the area, partly due to the great flood of the year 1421. It can be said that practically the only source of information we have is the church of Sant Esteve and the remains of the old walls.
